Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you also offer makeup services?

A: I do not! I am just your hair bestie! But I have a whole list of talented  artists that I work with regularly that I can recommend to you!

Q: How should I have my hair on my wedding day?

A: Please arrive with clean and 100% dry and frizz free hair. Wash your hair the night before and blow dry smooth. If you can, avoid sleeping with your hair in a bun the night before. The smoother your hair looks upon your arrival, the more beautiful and frizz free your style will be. There is only so much I can do in the allotted time so starting with the proper canvas allows for you and your girls to be much happier with your styles and for us to stay on schedule! If you or any of your girls have curly hair and want to incorporate their natural texture into their style, please have them arrive with their hair completely dry and styled with their curl products and their natural texture.

Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?

A: I will have all products, bobby pins, elastics, tools and brushes so you do not need to worry about bringing any of that. However, if you are wanting to incorporate any hair accessories or extensions into your style you will need to bring that.

Q: Can we use extensions in my hair style?

A: Yes! As long as your extension are 100% human hair we can use them in your style!

Q: Do you recommend extensions? Which extensions do you recommend?

A: Extensions add volume, length and longevity to any style. Unless you have A LOT of hair, more often than not, certain hairstyles do require the use of extensions. When purchasing extensions, you want to make sure you are buying 100% human hair extensions and that you are purchasing enough hair. Different style will require a different amount of hair needed to achieve the look you are going for! We can discuss how many grams of hair you would need in order to achieve your desired look!

Q: How many hair applications are you comfortable doing?

A: I am available to do as many hair applications as is needed! However, I do understand that weddings must adhere to a strict timeline. I like to schedule 45 minutes for everyone that is not the bride and a little over 1 hour for bridal hair styling. If you are needing to cut your timeline shorter than what this will allow I can reach out to other stylists that I work with regularly to see if they are available to come with me for your event.

Q: Do you have other people that you work with?

A: While AB Artistry is a one woman show, I do have a list of other hairstylists and makeup artist that I work with regularly that are very talented that I can reach out to to see if they are available to join us for your event.

Q: How do I book you for my big day?

A: In order to reserve your date, there is a $50 deposit required that will go towards your total on your wedding day. Once you have a final headcount for who will be receiving hair services, I'll send you a service agreement for you to review and sign.

Q: When is payment Due?

A: Payment is due the day of the wedding and must be completed before I leave the venue. If you are interested in completing payment before your wedding date, you can reach out to me and I can send you a payment link to complete payment prior to your wedding date.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: Cards, Cash, and Venmo are all acceptable forms of payment. I do not accept checks as a form of payment.

If you have any other questions I didn't cover, please don't hesitate to ask!
